     Greetings, wishing you all a great new year, and into a new decade we go, only to wonder what it holds, considering what the last ten years all held for us.  I choose to believe that if nothing else we learn from what has all happened in this world and it can only get better.  This year in both Dicks family and my family it will be a year of weddings and a lot of new nieces and nephews, six in the next 6 months.  I now know how our parents felt when all of us kids got married and our kids all came along, it’s a busy time but so much fun.  Now for the next season in quilting, as we all wait for the warm weather to return, we need to keep busy and try and forget it is in single digits outside.  The new block of the month is ready to start, this year birds and birdhouses.  There are some traditional quilts and a new raw edge quilt based on a traditional one, an appliqué one that can be done in the method of your choice.  There are a few new table runners and mittens, as well as the standard classes to teach quilting in general.  Read on and have a great New Year!
